| ACTIVITIES OPEN TO ALL (MEMBERS AND PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS) Members Meeting - A planning and informational meeting held monthly. Social time and either a speaker, discussion group, or adult craft is also planned. Child care is provided on-site or children may remain in the meeting room with you. ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS ONLY Playgroups - We have playgroups for kids of all ages, even babies. Pool Days - Meet at a member's subdivision pool or set sprinklers and pools up at a member's house for water fun during the hot weather months. Field Trips - Organized group visits to such places as the Zoo, Museums, and local farms. Group Tours and Classes - Private tours of the fire station, grocery store, pizza parlor, pet store, ice cream shop, etc... Private classes may include karate class, gymnastics, or pony rides. Book Club - Every month, a new book is voted on for all to read. Afterward, we have a meeting to discuss and share our thoughts on the book. Recipe Lunches - A lunch gathering with a theme. All participants gather at a member's home with a homemade or store bought food item that is related to the theme of the month. Some of our past food themes have been: desserts, tailgating foods, salads. Walking Group - A group that gathers at a park or walking trail or even the mall to walk and socialize. Great exercise! Strollers are welcomed! Mom's Night Out/In - This is the one monthly event scheduled during evening hours and may include activities such as dinner, a movie, a spa night, a pot-luck dinner, a class at a pottery studio and more. Discussion Groups - Each month, we gather to discuss an issue that is of concern to moms. Some of our past topics have been: discipline, eating and sleeping. Kids Craft Days - Kids of all ages can show off their creative side with easy and fun crafts. Babysitting Co-op - An organized group of moms who exchange childcare with other moms in the club. The co-op can be particularly useful if you have a doctors appointment or if you want to go on a date with your spouse. Or maybe, you just need a break!. Holiday Parties - We have fun-filled parties for moms and kids during some of the holiday seasons. We have a yearly Easter egg hunt, Halloween party and Christmas party. Service Projects - A yearly service project to benefit local children or mothers is required by the International MOMS Club, although our chapter performs a different project quarterly. Helping Hands - Meals and support are provided to members with new babies, family illnesses or during other times of need. |
